…
Baur’s children said they honored his request to bury him in one of the cans by placing part of his cremated remains in a Pringles container in his grave in suburban Springfield Township.
What can’t Pringles’ cans do? Extend your wi-fi? Check. Work as a lens extender for budding photographers? Done.
Serving as a final resting place was the obvious next step for the Pringles can.

The invention of the Pringles can was a very good idea, it changed the way the public thinks of potato chips. The point is that his invention was very important for Pringles but it was still only one part of the process of building that brand. It’s the level of commitment to the product that tells us all we need to know about making a brand fly. At every point and on every level of P&G you can be sure that Bauer’s level of commitment was there…sweating details, thinking about the target market and refining the product and all its brand details!
